The Resource Committee will bear the responsibility
to generate the secondments and financial contributions
necessary to create the hub and animate the WNU network.
The Resource Committee is composed of key
people from countries with institutions regarded as potential
donors.
In its first phase, the Resource Committee
will focus on Core Faculty secondments and the operational
budget.
In a second phase, which will begin once the
WNU has demonstrated operational viability, the Resource
Committee will shift focus to building a nuclear scholarship
endowment. To approach philanthropic donors, the Resource
Committee will draw upon the full resources of the WNU network
to assemble a "presentation team" of the nuclear
world's most prestigious and persuasive advocates on behalf
of building a larger and stronger global nuclear skills
base.
The resource levels involved in the second
phase are far larger than the basic staffing and operational
resources that are the objective of the first phase.
Phase Two depends on success in Phase One.
