LEAD Programme is an opportunity to keep developing your leadership skills and knowledge by exchanging experiences with high-level industry leaders and peers.

The programme is open to individuals from all backgrounds and areas of the industry that have completed the Summer Institute (or equivalent WNU programmes).

80% of the learning is done through the exchange of experience. To ensure an effective exchange that benefits all participants, applicants should have had at least five years of experience leading teams.

We strongly advise applicants to join this programme after actively applying what they have learned at the Summer Institute for a minimum of one year. This will allow you to further your growth and identify new leadership opportunities in your career and organization.

FAQs

The LEAD Programme offers an opportunity to enhance your leadership capabilities through international best practice, and to further develop your network of global industry leaders.

If you are a Summer Institute Alumni or a WNU alumni of an equivalent programme with at least five years of experience managing teams and you have been applying the leadership learnings you gained during the SI for at least one year, join us to continue enhancing your Leadership Roadmap. We actively encourage individuals from disempowered groups to apply.

Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance into the programme. All applications undergo a thorough review process, with notifications regarding acceptance status sent approximately three weeks after applications are closed.

Applying is free of charge. Tuition fees are payable upon notification of acceptance. For detailed financial obligations, please refer to our Terms and Conditions.

Please note that World Nuclear University does not provide direct funding for programme participation as we operate on a cost-recovery model.

Participants can be funded through various avenues, including directly through employers. Some applicants may be self-funded.

Ongoing work commitments during the programme, even on a part-time basis, are strongly discouraged due to the demanding nature of the curriculum. We encourage you and your organization to view the programme as a full-time commitment for its duration.

We understand the importance of family and know it can be complicated to leave your loved ones behind, especially for primary caregivers. Due to the demands of the programme, however, we strongly encourage you to view this as a time to work on your development away from the complications of daily life.

Should you have any guests joining, World Nuclear University does not assume responsibility for covering their expenses or allow guests accompanying you to join any programme activity; nor do we facilitate visa invitation letters or provide any other logistical support.

This programme is tailored for seasoned professionals in leadership roles within the industry.

If you are currently a mid-career professional without management responsibilities or just started your leadership journey, we recommend you apply for the programme once you have acquired the necessary qualifications and experience so you can make the most of your participation.
